How is Linux going to save you money when you have to develop, test, and re-write custom windows applications?

Well, with just a little foresight, you make those applications web-based, so that only the server has to stay the same. Then, to migrate, you just... install Linux on the client and bang!!!-- you're migrated!

When your job is 'Off Shored' because you are too expensive...

Nah... with the money saved by using Linux, those jobs will be saved.

Lastly, if everyone becomes a Linux 'expert' then there will be NO need for any System Admins anylonger(sic).

New to the industry, I see. Let me help you. You see, most people are currently used to Windows. It's what they have on their desktop, by the millions, if not billions. It's the OS that those people are used to and know best. But how many are Windows "experts". I am, my boss is, my coworkers are, but the users of the 900 computers we administer are not. They know how to do what they need to do and that's all. Not one of them would be capable of taking my job, let alone replacing m Unix/Linux work. They're not experts. The fact that they know Windows best doesn't mean they know it well.
