I dont side with people that "trade" music, but I can't believe the RIAA
First of all, the RIAA claims that the vast majority of its business or in other words - their recording artists - are losing money. I don't care what business model you follow or even what business you're in, but if this is a SELF-PROCLAIMED fact then you should not cry about losing another 3-4% off the bottom line.

Also, I remember in my day when everyone had a ton of Music tapes (yeah, I'm that old...) of records and radio programs. Noone ever gave anyone a hard time about that. This MP3 thing is exactly the same thing in this sense, only now copies of an original are exact digital duplicates, even from generation to generation. However, I must point out that noone put a gun against the RIAA's head and told them "from now on we want all your work on digital media". In fact, in a lot of ways the digital media allowed them to have lower overhead and higher sales.

If they can't make money, they need to (a) change the way they run their business, or (b) go the way of the dinosaur and get a hold of some good bankruptcy lawyers. I'm tired of hearing how everyone is poor, not making money, etc, yet on TV all you see is the latest "bling bling" this and "ice" that.....?!
