Yes, I am aware that adobe and macromedia are proprietary technologies. I have no problem with proprietary software, only the underhanded ploys used by proprietary formats to stifle competition and further limit choice. If Adobe had a monopoly on the desktop I'd be screaming bloody murder right now. I am not even happy with this acquisition, as it will also further limit the market and free choice; however, it won't spell doom for the industry the way Microsoft acquisitions seem to.
What I was saying is that if now Microsoft buys adobe, it will own adobe and macromedia, which would make me barf and give up on IT altogether. All this crime and greed has already left a bad taste in my mouth and has made me not care very much anymore about computing or this fading shrinking industry. Pretty much all these companies need to be slapped around and reigned back in. It seems that EVERYONE is out of control nowadays, and it's become too annoying and too tiresome, at least for my taste. - Posted by: Jeff Spicoli Posted on: 04/18/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
