Afraid not....
Adobe allows others to work with their format with little licesning struggle. Adobe supports using their reader and really threw out not objection to OOo using a PDF creator. PDF is one of the more open document formats out there and it is cross platform with very little trouble. You can work off of PDF on Mac, Linux, or Windows. Microsoft Office Documents can be opened of Mac only because of Microsoft Office for Mac, and there is not linux equivilant. OpenOffice does a fine job, but is not 100% compatible. But then again, neither is MS Office.
