Media Players
In the beginning...I used to think REAL Player was great and WMP sucked, quicktime was always a bear to install...but then came real jukebox, real scheduler, then it started to connect to the internet when I tried to play a song so it could give me info on that particular song, I either already knew or didn't care about...IF I wanted to know, I would have found out on my own. I then noticed that real products ran in the background even when I was not using them...that is their critical mistake, DO NOT mess with my system resources without consulting ME first! while Real was trying to get one up on microsoft by using their media player to dominate the Windows OS, Microsoft worked on making a pretty decent player. Personally, I think the 3 media players suck, they all sound lousy and video playback is often jerky. I use the DivX player 5.0 and Winamp ONLY when I have to.
It seems quite obvious to me that when your products suck and your company starts to sink...blame it on someone else and take them to court in an attempt to steal a piece of their pie. Hmmm, sounds like the airline industry.
