Very cool...
Java is by far the dominant platform for enterprise application development. Having Red Hat in the mix will provide more choice and additional competition.

All J2EE competitors comply with the J2EE specifictaion (or they will shortly). Because a specification exists, all vendors must compete on price, performance, and service. It's impossible for them to lock you in to their product. One can literally shop for the best J2EE server at the begining of a project, and then switch to another, more suitable server at the end. It's an amazingly successful concept.

Imaging if all middleware worked this way.
