Try Vuescan...
it lists the Canon 3200F scanner as supported (after installing ScanGear).

It may cost a few bucks but if it works (try the demo first), you'll have your scanning function available.

(As mentioned, a Canon issue as Apple cannot be responsible for the hundreds/thousands of drivers for old and new equipment.)
