Microsoft whiffs on tools, database betas

It's not that hard to figure out...: They must have a team of 15 working on it, while they use the other billions to get all the toys for Gates' house.

Geeze.. You make it seem like there are only 15 employees working for Microsoft. How's that for spreading the purest unadulterated FUD...

In reality, there are TENS of THOUSANDS of people working for the company world wide - all of whom require a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly paycheck, benefits and all the other perks of working for a large, SUCCESSFUL corporation. And let's not forget the shareholders who get their quarterly dividends.

And let's not forget the army of legal eagles MS employs. Whether dealing with the DOJ, EU or suing some poor schmuck for trademark infringement, you can bet your last dollar that the lawyers are NOT working pro bono (That's "for free" for the clueless). Rule of thumb - "Whenever there's a law suit, the ONLY ones who ever get rich are the lawyers." Anyone who's gone thru a divorce would know that first hand.

While I'm sure Bill Gates does get his substantial chunk off the top, I doubt they spend BILLIONS of dollars on nothing but "toys". BILLIONS of dollars would no doubt stuff most any house (or mansion) from floor to ceiling in no time at all.
