I don't think there's any coordinated effort here. But once a company has been declared an abusive monopoly, it's very tempting (and easy) for all and sundry to jump on the bandwagon, crying foul and claiming damages. And who's going to dispute it? Anyone who does is accused of being a "shill" for the monopoly. Since it's so easy to get money out of Microsoft, and since you can get positive PR to boot, why not go after the money? As so many are fond of saying, companies are in business to make money, not punish monopolies.

Actually, yes I do believe that. Look at the patent mess -- just another example of the same thing.
