Fighting Spam
I've always wondered why Microsoft is getting into the anti-spam campaign. Fighting spam should be left up to the local, state/provincial, or federal governments. Why should a software company get into the act? It might have something to do with removing the stigma that has plagued Microsoft for years. People associate "bad" computer things with Microsoft. Microsoft thinks that if they fight against spam, their image may improve.

I believe it will take more than financially sponsoring the anti-spam campaign to regain the trust of the technology public. For those who don't know, people hate Microsoft for 2 reasons:

1. Sinister/Bad/Illegal business practices.
2. Screwing over customers who report legitimate issues with their operating system.
