My point couldn't be plainer.
First, I apologise for accusing you of closing the link. My point is this, Linux is based on Unix. There is no hidden agenda. I don't think that it is a bad thing. What I find difficult to believe is that some Linux users will fight to the death before they admit that Linux's roots are Unix. All the current OS's are based on a previous OS. DOS's roots are CPM. Linus was trained on Solaris. Solaris is Unix. He wanted to write an OS that he could run programs on his PC and a Sun workstation. He basically ported Unix to a PC.
