Just because all of that piddly stuff that you get to deal with is moving to Lenovo, IBM doesn't have the intentions of leaving hardware. Just the highly competitive, low profit margin area for Personal Computers and Notebooks. I am surprized people didn't realize this when IBM stayed away from nich market products such as the tablet PC. IBM still is in the market for their Servers, from Cheap intel boxes, all the way up to the powerful S/390s.

Currently they are supplying processors for 3 out of 3 console makers. Also everything Mac is powered by IBM processors.

IBM is far from SCO, and far from sitting on their tail waiting for royalties to pour in.
