So Schwartz is complaining because the GPL precludes him using the GPL'd work of others as the basis of proprietary software.

Write your own proprietary "base" for your proprietary software then Schwartz and quit whining.

If he doesn't like the GPL then he shouldn't use GPL'd software. Sometimes I wonder if Schwartz really understands true open-source at all.
