i've been noticing emails from spammers with exhange in their header. There are plenty of open relays out there and plenty are also exchange. I know of 5 companies so far who were having problems sending emails, I went to their firm, closed the open relay and done. Mind you these companies were all using Exchange 5.5 as well.

It all comes down to who is configuring the servers. Some admins know to check and close open relays, others are idiots, plain and simple.
