There are many options out there that are much more secure.
And also a step in getting off of the MS treadmill. Novel will sell you Groupwise or an open source solution. IBM will sell you Notes. There are plenty of open source solutions out there. Really nothing exciting about Exchange, it only runs on a crappy, expensive, virus prone, buggy OS.
