There is a danger in sloppy give-aways for commercial companies
This is not much different from what is going on at eBay, where hundreds of companies buy endless domains, and then put together the same old php scripts coupled with the easy but breakable mysql database, sell the "ecommerce" site on eBay for anywhere from 13.99 to $537.50 and then sell the "winner" hosting services as the real profit center. Invariably they use MySQL, which means to any unsuspecting commercial entity that they will be on the cuff for commercial license fees from Mysql and can be sued anytime. Why mysql hasn't gone after all these jerks and the commercial companies using mysql I don't know, but the issue is they can and eventually they will. A better and more effective stack dispenses with the dual licensed MySQL and uses a superior true open source RDBMS such as POstgresql, ingres, or firebird. So this deal is not that great!
