The Command Prompt
You do realize that Microsoft has the command prompt, right? Also half the MS utilities are command prompt only.

Linux is pretty much the same.

You are right though. The user doesn't need the command line in either OS and they don't need it do user type things in either OS.

Power users on both OSes will make use of the command line though.
