Is the real addition here the support for SIP in Lindows, or the way they've put SIP to work? I've only read the comment in the article, but it sounds like Lindows is using SIP to connect not only to other PCs running SIP compatible software (be it Lindows, Windows, whatever,) but possibly to connect to vid phones and other SIP devices as well.

I know WinXP has SIP support, though I don't know what they use it for (is it for video sessions in Windows Messenger?) I know Apple supports it as well for iChat AV, though you can't use it to 'dial' up another IP... you have to use it through AIM or .Mac (the 2 networks that iChat AV connects to.) Anyone know how Lindows is implementing it?
