This is the way I see everything going.
The first thing that will happen is nothing. Silence. Then you will probably see those companies that migrated to Windows from Netware going back the opposite direction. Finally the last thing will probably be that Novell gives Microsoft a run for it's money. It's not all over for MS people, and Novell is just starting which means anything could happen.

MS has a good OS, however, there are 2 problems with they way they are doing things.

1: Swiss cheese patch 1 time monthly security.

2: Cranking out MCSE's that have no clue about the real world.

Honestly, I've interviewed 3 so called MCSE's in the last two weeks and let me tell you, 2 couldn't even join up a new server to the domain, and the other one couldn't add users. I wonder how they passed the tests!?!?!? If they (MS) would just look at their cert process and tighten it up (something akin to Cisco) then these Ladmins would have a fighting chance.

I won't even get started on the security issues as I don't want to beat a dead horse.

I forsee this happening in the next 3 to 5 years as Novell gets their feet under them.
