You're wrong (and rather cynical, I think)
Actually, this is completely independent from the SuSE acquisition. NNLS (Novell Nterprise Linux Services) is the first step in getting some of Novell's networking services released for use with Linux. This project was begun long before the SuSE acquisition negotiations. In the past, most of Novell's services required the use of NetWare to run. Now a significant set of them work on Linux (eDirectory, iPrint, iFolder, iManager, Virtual Office, etc.) This first iteration of NNLS is by no means a complete solution to enterprise networking with Linux, but it is an important first step. Subsequent releases are scheduled to have more and more Novell services available for Linux, up to the release of the next version of NetWare, where 100% of the functionality of NetWare will be available on Linux (as well as the legacy NetWare kernel if desired).

Keep up the good work, Novell!
