Well, my friend, let's just wait a bit to see if your header conclusion is premature or not. They have just come out with the product, they haven't actually made any money on it as yet.

You may want to recall that Red Hat figured out how to use open source to offer value to desktop customers. They just didn't make any money on it. Neither has Mandrake, nor SuSe (except to sell themselves to someone else) nor anyone else that I am aware of. I have not seen any reported data on Lindows.
