Evidence that SAP is losing market share is this desperate attempt to reach out to forge partnerships in the industry. However, make no mistake: SAP is not Open. The number of programmers who know how BAPI calls really works are vanishingly small.

Once locked in to this German plot to take over the world, you will spend most of your time defending the crippling overhead that comes with any of these one-coat-covers-all development platforms.

My company recently converted a large mainframe application from SAP to PeopleSoft. I swear, there's a sucker born every minute.
