I believe in talented people...
... so I don't think DRM is going to work. I do think it's going to be a substantial money-maker for those companies willing to indulge the content companies in their foolishness. Won't do any good, reduce profits, aggravate the cusomers... what more could a content company ask?!

My contention has been and continues to be that for developed countries like the US the defense of IP is a priority. Not enough money in making things. If China refuses to enforce IP, the US and other countries are going to have to respond in self-defense.

China has already made some effort, though obviously more PR than effective enforcement. The issues are only how long before other governments get serious, and what kind of enforcement mechanisms are they going to use?
