Have You Tried Windows 2003 Server? Don't Bother.
Windows 2003 server has been very problematic in our trial runs. We're recommending against it for many reasons. MS is up to it's usual. 2003 server is even more bloated than XP. When you reboot, you have to place a comment. VNC no longer works well on 2003. There are so many "helpful" popups that it would drive any sysadmin crazy. They should rename this to MS Clippy 2003 Server. MS has certainly lost touch with who actually uses their Server "OS". Or maybe they're just trying to make any computer-illiterate person able to get IIS up and running its convoluted spaghetti setup known as .NUTZ.

Given the security problems, bugs, and the Linux threat, a smart move.  DonnieBoy | 12/15/03
