Hehe, I give credit where credit is due.
Nice post. However, I would suggest that your monopolistic argument falls flat because MS does not now, nor have they EVER had anywhere near a monopoly on internet portals or in the area of internet service providers. That isn't even the biggest negation of your post though.

MS got in trouble because they made it difficult for resellers to choose the products of a competitor. Want to get Linux from a Dell? Nope, Microsoft wouldn't let Dell offer it to you. Want your Gateway to come with Netscape as the default browser? Nope, Microsoft won't let Gateway do that. This is totally different because Microsoft is making it difficult to CHOOSE a Microsoft solution.

To recap:
1. Microsoft never had close to a monopoly on portals or internet services.
2. Microsoft is making it difficult to choose a Microsoft service.

Therefore this likely has nothing at all to do with Microsoft trying to leverage a monopoly and much more to do with simple economics. If they aren't making any money from the Mac MSN users, they have an obligation to their shareholders to stop offering it. End of story. NOW class is dismissed! You have a nice weekend too!
