No it isn't!!
That does NOT remove WMP9 in XP. All it does is removes the desktop and taskbar links. I have tried running what Karimi said and that did not work. I have backed up and removed every mention of it from the registry and that does not work. My problem is that it does not work it gives me an error every time I try to load it, but it also will not let me install it again as it say's that it is already installed!!! MS does suck. I'm away to install Mandrake Linux.
