Can't say I've seen it

All I've seen in 3 years go by and red ink starts bleeding.

I've seen this from outsourcing in many field of work. Why would IT be any differnt.

This the patern I've seen. They get you outsource by offering contracts that make no business sense. In otherwords they do it so cheap that you can't see how they can make a profit. But management only sees the saving in short term then signs up and sells the current infrastructure. The next contract you get you see a huge increase in the costs. Now management just signs up agains, can't have them looking like fools now and the just bite bullet and keep quiet. Next contract the prices goes up even more and it can't be hidden. Heads start to roll and they sign up agains because they haven't the capitol to invest in the infrastructure again. The next contract hopefully they have budgeted to do it themselves again. After the term of 1 contract a ROI is seen and management looks good again. It's all a big scam!
