The Gentoo issue
is being fixed with 2005.0, which technically I am on, but it's still in beta and the updated ebuilds for most of the necessary libs are incomplete. I do plan to stay with Gentoo, but still I don't want to be too far behind the times with SUSE because really that is the better desktop system for the average Joe. Gentoo still has a ways to go if it wants to match that (although I'm not sure it does want to).
