- VMware DOES require changes
- I just did a VMware install last night on Linux, and it requires patches to the kernel, same as Win4Lin5. I understand that Win4Lin Pro is the only virtual machine currently for Linux that does not require a patched kernel. I have not used Xen, so I don't know if it requires patches or not.
