Back when Microsoft Access was a phone modem program, that came in a very nifty kean plastic box, bundled with a whopping 1200 baud modem, IBM came out with a program called TopView to do multitasking, sort of, maybe, never hardly worked.

The original Microsoft Access gave one CheckFree for free, OAG flight info for free, and access to mostly 300 baud "bulliten boards" that were mostly trash. TopView was perhaps the very first program that gave one ample reason to reformat one's harddrive and start over.

Now AMD is taking TopView, the program that never worked in spite of all the prayers, good wishes, and curses to hell and running it at 3GHz plus. Intel and Microsoft must be wetting their pants in gleeful excitement.
