Virutualization makes little sense
Sure, drop $20K on a server, plus another $20K in licensing for the virtualization S/W so we can run 8 OS Instances on that box. That's $40k just to get out the door.

Or Drop $3k for a 1U pizza box * 8 = $24k to run those instances. In the 3-4 year lifespan of that box, you're never going to see the savings on power and cooling....
