Lindows is a Threat to Microsoft. Not in a sense that Lindows will cause them to go out of business but a threat in the sense that it competes on the desktop. With the market share Microsoft has there is only one place way they can go and that is to lose market share.

Having 99% of the desktop X86 PC market give Microsoft a control over what direction that market takes. It would be much harder to make everyone accept at Microsoft standard if they don't have full control over the X86 PC market. Even losing 10% to Lindows breaks this control.

Now in all honesty I can say I don't know a single person who uses Lindows. I know people using Lycoris, SUSE, Mandrake and Red Hat but I know no one that uses Lindows.

Still if an Dial-up ISP has software for Lindows then chance are it will work with the other distros of Linux.

Also, someone must be using Lindows. From what I've heard they are selling from Walmart and obviously a demand is there. Companies don't waste money for nothing. If that wasn't the case then my digital camera would have come with both Windows and Linux software but it doesn't.
