When you say "most likely" you should have some evidence to back it up.. that's what makes it an informed opinion, rather than a wild, shot in the dark guess. I would hope his claim is the former.

I ask you this: why isn't .NET already in the OS? They could have put it in with SP1, but CHOSE NOT TO. What has changed since then? Why would they choose to do it now?
