Want to Avoid DRM?
Simple.

Don't use Microsoft products. Use Linux where you have choice. You can enable or disable DRM. But if you disable DRM and you want to access certain types of content you will have to do with out. But then that is your choice, a choice it seems that Microsoft doesn't want to give you. But hey if you use Microsoft you can choose to just not give a damn about DRM content and avoid all the same.

Now if DRM content just fails to make a profit it will disappear. If it proves to make a profit it will stay. Pretty simple actually.

By the way, try using an up to date version of Linux that is designed for the desktop. I'd suggest Lycoris or Lindows. But if you want it free go with SUSE or Mandrake.

Also if you happy with the Windows and the apps you have with Windows then why bother? Unless you are curious or find that you are fed up with Windows I'd suggest you just stick with what you know.
