I understood what he was talking about. I just do not agree with him, that's all. If you can find a bios manufacturer to supply the specs, fine, but do not expect all manufacturers to supple the spec.

These hardware companies sign NDAs with each other to prevent their state of the art features from becoming commodities. You might not think they are advanced but that is your opinion.

Why is it so important to run Linux on everything anyway? Didn't IBM throw you enough table scraps to keep you happy? Most of the world runs on the business model that all of you despise. Sounds like an acceptance problem on your part. You take your fortunes like everyone else and go for it.
