FireFox vs IE is the proper comparison
Firefox is just a browser. No email client or anything else bundled with it. It's purely a browser. IE is purely a browser too. Perfect comparison.

Mozilla is just like Firefox but comes with extras. Mozilla's mail and news reader are pretty good but don't do anything more than Outlook Express so I continue using Outlook Express. If Mozilla did something I liked better I'd switch.
