What's that hammering noise, could it be: a couple more nails in the lid of Microsofts coffin?

XP has become one of the most re-installed OS's ever. It's easier to re-install than to trouble shoot most problems. Even the top 20 referred to do very little actual trouble shooting when assisting customers. XP blew most of their support budgets when new and it hasn't gotten any better. Their solution was to give up trying to fix problems and reinstall.

I know a lot of PC users who have re-installed XP after total frustration when things go wrong. Most of them are sporting Dell's, HP's or Compaq's.

In fact, reinstalling has become in integral part of the Windows experience and they can't remove it without great harm to the product and consumer.
