The depressing thing about Open Source DBMS
You might think open source was an opportunity to break out SQL databases into something truly innovative (like actually implementing a truly relational database). Another cheaper SQL database is largely irrelevant, the world doesn't need anymore SQL databases.

I would love to think that open source could offer something new on this front but all I see so far are not especially capable copies of the flawed mainstream products that we currently. Totally disappointing.
