This is open source...
...in the utilitarian sense, minus the Richard Stallman-inspired religious principles. For people who respect the notion of revenue derived from software as such but recognize the utility of access to source code (debugging, more exposure of software flaws and hence, more opportunity for discovery, etc) this is a good thing.

For those who DON'T respect the former, well, they weren't going to buy a Microsoft database, anyway.
