How this relates is that if SAP provided their
products for Linux they would be able to charge
more for their products and still be the
less-expensive choice. The MS stack would
obviously require Windows, SQL Server, Exchange,
and other backoffice products to compete with
SAP's offerings. SAP could kill MS on price if
a customer could use Linux, an open source
database, and an open source email server, etc.
I predict this is exactly what SAP will do.
