You don't get it...
I am sad to say I do not think you understand the software market. HP, IBM and Oracle are pumping money into Linux because they are terrified Microsoft will destroy all of their offerings. Yukon (aka SQL 2005) will blow away Oracle 10g. How do I know this? Because my rep has told me so. .NET and the software stack will blow away Websphere and J2EE. How do I know this? My rep told me so. According to my rep, the clouds are forming and the weather is perfect for a full Microsoft takeover of all enterprise computing. I have commanded my MCSE's, MCDBA's and MCP's to be prepared for the onslaught of Longhorn, Yukon, Whidbey, Orcas, Blackcomb and any other mountain or river that happens to come down the path.
