Red Hat Linux

As a student studying Linux red hat it became clear that this program was great. The one thing that did disturb me was the fact that a lot of the time you could not enter the Linus Red Hat portal, for one reason or the other. It may have been just me and the learning process. As a former student I feel that it is a very well suited program, but for me was hard to learn. I guess nothing good comes without it's pitfalls. One other item is it possible to study the language of Linux Red Hat without having to be a student. The reason for asking is I tried logging on to Red Hat Acadeny.com from home but that is as far as I got.Thank you for your time and any response that you may give.
