Or to put it another way.
Company "A" is a patent holding company. They make NO SOFTWARE, they make their money selling licneses to patents on software.

That company can sue the day lights out of anyone and there is no retaliation suit possible agaisnt them, they DON'T make software and are not open to counter attack.

Remember the "undisclosed" outfit that just bought up $15 MILLION in software patents. Do you think they did thay because they had no other use for the $15 million? My bet? They plan on seening a return on that investment...
