LINUX keeps on tick'in
How many, many years have all the MSCE folks have been telling of the death of Open Source? News flash to them, Open Source isn't dead. In fact, the opposite is happening ...Open Source is growing.

IBM giving support for application growth will mean that developers will now jump on board. We can only begin to imagine what apps we'll see in two years. Will someone develop a really great app that will allow MS apps to run on a Open Source? Yea I do know there are apps that do this but from what I hear they aren't really up to speed on doing the massive job at hand.

I don't care if it is IBM, Sun or whoever....I want competition in the OS environment. I want developers to start writing cross platform apps. Finally the desk top has a chance to become consumer driven instead of MS driven. Finally innovation may be back in vogue? Maybe instead of being offered one more of the many, many updates we are accustomed to, someone will develop something that will really change the computing world.
