---And the fact that Dell happily sells most home pc's with XP Home shows that people are in the general not dissatisfied with the Home feature set. Or you'd have to argue that Dell is forcing people to accept something they don't want. Doesn't sound like the Dell I know.---
Just curious here, are there actual figures showing Dell sells more machines with XP Home than XP Pro? I would have guessed that as part of their sales strategy, Dell always lists their low priced machines having the bare minimum of both hardware and software on them. Then, most users come in and customize them, adding things like XP Pro and increasing the price.
