Linux Bigger Than Microsoft?
You must be joking. The single largest problem Linux faces in becoming a "widely" used OS is that there are too many variants available for any one of them to get any traction with the public. This says nothing about the fact that they are not as simple to use as Windows.
Cut down the herd of distros from the 50 or more out there down to no more than two or three, make them easier to use, assure hardware compatibility to the same level as Windows, get mainstream computer makers (HP, Dell, etc.) to preinstall it, and put them on shelves, not just online, in major retailers, and Linux might just have a shot. Until ALL of this is done, Linux will remain largely irrelevant.
