Pure HOGWASH!!! I know lots of people that work at something because they both enjoy it and have found a way to make a living at it. Tell me, do you think a small town doctor is doing it just for the money? Do you think a pro athlete would never compete if they weren't paid?

What ever gave you the idea that someone can't do something for MULTIPLE reasons? It's simple mind views like this that keep open source and proprietary apart...
