Screw code forking ...
We've got something even better now - LICENCE FORKING! This licence is a fork of that licence is a fork of this other licence ... Pretty soon there are going to be geneologists trying to figure out licences instead of lawyers!

OSI needs to get their act together and NOT approve 'forked' licences. Either figure out a way to get people to agree to common changes to existing licences as needs arise (IE: Ask Mozilla to incorporate Sun's changes for this reason or that ... or have Moz go to Sun and say, "What's the deal? Just use the existing licence.")

The article hit one thing dead on - continuing to approve almost any licence thrown it's way will make them a joke organization ... kind of like the UN became when it bared no teeth to the US ignoring it and doing it's own thing in Afghanistan/Iraq. Who can take the UN seriously now? No point if whatever they say/do is meaningless.
