No one actually said that Hula would compete with GroupWise. However, Mr. Messman did make some statements to contrast what Hula offers and future against traditional collaboration offerings like Micrsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Novell GroupWise.
Novell's GroupWise customers are already familiar with Hula's forerunner, Novell NetMail, and many even use NetMail in conjunction with GroupWise.
