Why wouldn't they?
Would you be want to be the employee willing to be responsible for making sure your mission critical systems running on free software don't go down 24/7/365? And if it does, to drop everything so you can diagnose the problem, fix it, even going so far as to re-write code if necessary? And to walk into your boss's office the next morning and explain why your company lost money because you didn't configure the system properly in the first place?

$799 per year per processor is really a bargain in when you consider all that can go wrong.
